David Darts, PhD is Assistant Professor of Art & Visual Culture Education at the University of Arizona. His program of research and teaching focuses on the arts as tools for teaching and learning, and catalysts for stimulating students' social imaginations within school and community settings. His work also examines the influence of media and popular visual culture as educative forces, particularly in relation to citizenship, political agency, creative expression, and constructions of identity.
