Graduate Profile

CHRIS HIGGINS

PhD Student

Chris Higgins is writing her dissertation on the philosophical concept of praxis as it applies to teacher education, while teaching philosophy of education at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. Her recent conference presentations include a collaborative performance at the 2004 Curriculum and Pedagogy conference in Miami, Ohio (Oct. 2004), as well as chairing the Creative Writing Strand at the same conference. She recently met with some CFCI colleagues for an informative foray into performative inquiry at the Provoking Curriculum conference in Victoria BC (Feb. 2005). She looks forward to participating in the 2005 AERA conference as part of a panel led by by the esteemed CFCI graduate Rishma Dunlop in April of 2005. Chris Higgins
